Jackson College's women's basketball team converted defensive stops into points Wednesday for a 62-38 victory at Glen Oaks.
The Jets outscored the Vikings 26-7 in points off turnovers and 16-4 from the foul line in a game that was close at the break. Jackson led 29-24 at halftime but went on a 16-5 run in the third quarter to open things up.
Kylie Quist and Alea fisher led Glen Oaks (7-6) with eight points apiece, Amanda Barber and Kaytlin Smith each registered five, and Kamryn Washington and Lilyana Coleman scored four points apiece. Morgan Kurdziel and Abby Youmans finished with two points.
Coleman and Smith led the Vikings with seven rebounds each, Youmans, Kurdziel ad Sarah DeKoning all had two assists, and Barber finished with a team-high four steals.
Glen Oaks is at home Jan. 13 to take on Lansing Community College.
