Men's bowling takes 1st in St. Clair invitational

Congratulations to the Jackson College men's bowling team on another win! The Jets bowlers took the top spot in Friday's St. Clair County Community College Invitational in Port Huron, with a combined total score of 3,966!

Bowlers Aaron Hostetler and Keegan Campbell took the third and fourth places overall with 560 and 557 series, respectively. Ryan Saville took eighth place overall with a 537 series. Brock Fullerton bowled a 487, John Kortz a 482 and Andrew Richard a 445 series.

The Jets will travel to Livonia Friday to participate in the MCCAA/Region XII Championship at Merri-Bowl Lanes.

 

Women's bowling take 4th in St. Clair invitational

Though the team had a slow start to their season, the Jackson College Jets women's bowling now has a full roster and continues a strong showing in its first season.

The Jets women took fourth place out of six teams participating in Friday's St. Clair County Community College Invitational in Port Huron. Their combined total score was 2,999.              

Hannah Boobyer had the top score for Jackson College with a 452 series; Maddie Spataro had 434, Amanda Enners 430, Cami Emerson 386 and Rachael Pelfrey 283.

The Jets will travel to Livonia Friday to participate in the MCCAA/Region XII Championship at Merri-Bowl Lanes.

Jackson College's Jets men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Mount Pleasant Friday, Feb. 1, to play in the Mid Michigan Community College Invitational.

The men's bowling team tied for first place with hosts Mid Michigan CC, with a total score of 4,200. Seven teams participated. The Jets' Austin Hostetler had the second-highest series score overall for the day with 590, while Andrew Richard had the fifth highest at 569 and the high game for the day, 242. Ryan Saville placed eighth overall with a 542 series, while John Kortz bowled a 523 series, Brock Fullerton a 508 and Keegan Campbell a 450.

The Jets women took third place overall with a total score of 3,118. Amanda Enners took ninth place overall with a 474 series. Maddie Spataro bowled a 454 series, Cami Emerson a 444 series, Hannah Boobyer a 412 series, and Rachael Pelfrey a 312 series.
