Collin Baldwin took both High Game (269) and High Series (710) in Friday's Mid Michigan CC Invitational. The men's team took 2nd out of eight teams overall. Teammate Keegan Campbell finished in 6th place with a 612 series (157, 266 and 189). Mason Rutan had a 565 series (214, 190 and 161), Ryan Saville a 551 series (186, 172, and 193), Brock Fullerton had a 513 series (216, 149 and 148) and Andrew Richard had a 506 series (169, 148, 189).

The women's team placed 6th out of 8 teams, with a series total of 3,282 pins. Marissa Wood placed 6th with a 522 series (159, 173 and 190). Allison Fagan had a 515 series (129, 142, 244), Hannah Boobyer a 507 series (204, 134, and 169), Alyssa Villareal a 453 series (171, 146, and 136) and Hailey Thornhill a 387 series (129, 116 and 142).


Congratulations to the Jets men's bowling team on their first place finish at the Kirtland Community College Invitational Friday!

The men's team had a series total 4,793 pins, and Mason Rutan was the second highest individual bowler with a 683 series. Brock Fullerton was sixth with a 639 series, and Collin Baldwin ninth with a 625 series. Rounding out the Jets, Keegan Campbell bowled a 602 series; Ryan Saville, 598; Andrew Richard, 547; and Ron Towson, 546.

The Jets women took third place in the invitational, with a series total of 3,726 pins. Marissa Wood finished in 10th place individually with a 521 series. Rounding out the Jets team, Lailah Maull bowled a 502 series; Alyssa Villareal, 451; Allison Fagan, 446; Hannah Boobyer, 440; and Hailey Thornhill, 372.

Teams will travel to Livonia on Friday, Jan. 24 for the Schoolcraft College Invitational. 


Jets men's and women's bowling each took third place in Friday's Great Lakes Classic Invitational in Muskegon.

For the men, the Jets' Mason Rutan was the high scorer individually with an 878 series (221, 259, 193, 205). Collin Baldwin took third overall with an 872 series (183, 233, 199, 223). Also for the Jets, Keegan Campbell had a 788 series (179, 182, 232, 195), Brock Fullerton 714 (203, 178, 172, 161), Ron Towson 678 (153, 178, 182, 165) and Andrew Richard 647 (140, 157, 175, 175).

For the women, the Jets took three of the top 10 places. Marissa Wood took sixth overall with a 723 series (180, 183, 207, 153), Lailah Maull seventh with 721 (178, 170, 186, 187), and Alyssa Villareal eighth with 719 (187, 183, 175, 174). Also for the Jets, Allison Fagan had a 699 series (209, 194, 168, 128), and Hailey Thornhill 556 (179, 139, 110, 128).

The Jets teams will travel to Gaylord on Friday, Jan. 17 for the Kirtland Community College Invitational.


After a successful first year, the Jackson College Jets men's and women's bowling teams kicked off their 2020 season with some strong finishes Friday, Jan. 3 at the Jackson College Invitational at University Lanes, Albion.

For the men, the Jets' Brock Fullerton had the high series for the day with 257, 254, 209, for a 720 series. Teammate Keegan Campbell was in fifth with a 667 series (233, 214, 220). Rounding out the Jets team was Andrew Richard with a 556 series, Ron Towson, 554, Mason Rutan, 534 and Collin Baldwin, 531.  As a team, the Jets took second out of eight with series 4,666, second to Ancilla College.

For the women, Lailah Maull had the high series for the Jets, bowling 529 (174, 189, 166), putting her in eighth place on the day. Teammate Marissa Wood was just four pins behind her at ninth place, bowling a 525 series (178, 204, 143). Rounding out the Jets team were Allison Fagan, 484, Alyssa Villareal, 463, and Hailey Thornill, 437. Overall, the Jets took fourth out of eight teams with a 3,736 series.

Jets bowlers will travel to Muskegon on Friday, Jan. 10 for the Great Lakes Classic at Sherman Bowling Lanes.
