Women's basketball marked two more wins as the season winds down, topping Kellogg Community College 75-62 Saturday (Feb. 22) and Glen Oaks Community College 91-80 Monday (Feb. 24).
In the game with Kellogg, Taylor Long came off the bench to be the high scorer for the night with 22 points. Daelyn Merillat scored 17 and Taylor Hutchinson 13 points, while Madison Montgomery nabbed 10 rebounds.
In Monday's game with Glen Oaks, Merillat was high scorer wit 19 points, Hutchinson scoring 16, Marissa Shaw 12, Montgomery, 11 and Paige Sanders 10.
The Jets play their final game of the regular season Wednesday at Lake Michigan College.

Taylor Hutchinson was the high scorer for the game with 17 points, followed by Daelyn Merillat with 16 and Bre'Aira Burton with 12 points. Paige Sanders grabbed 8 rebounds for the Jets.
The Jets are 9-6 in conference play this season and 17-7 overall. They will face Kellogg Community College at home in Victor
The Jets women dropped a game to the Raiders of Grand Rapids CC Friday, 44-67.
It was a battle from the beginning, with the Raiders outscoring the Jets 41.5 to 27 percent from the floor, and 30.8 to 15.8 percent in 3-pointers. Daelyn Merillat was the only Jet to score in double digits with 14 points for the night.
The Jets are 7-5 in the MCCAA Western Conference, 15-6 overall. They will face Muskegon CC at home Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse, in the Pink Out Games benefitting the Turning Point program of the YMCA.

The Jets are currently in third place in the MCCAA Western Conference with a 6-3 conference record and a 14-4 overall record. They play Lansing CC Monday away, and will return home Wednesday to face Ancilla College in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse.
Jackson College Jets women's basketball lost their first conference matchup Wednesday (Jan. 15) on the road at Muskegon Community College, 69-49.
The Jayhawks took the lead from the first basket and held it throughout the game. The Jets, coming off an 11-game winning streak, battled back but could not get close enough. Muskegon led Jackson in both field goal (40.3 to 29.0 percent) and 3-point percentages (47.4 to 23.8 percent), while the Jets had far more turnovers in the game.
High scorer for the Jets was Marissa Shaw with 9 points, followed by Taylor Long and Daelyn Merillat with 8 points each.
The Jets are second in the MCCAA Western Conference with a 3-1 record; 11-2 overall.
Jackson College Jets' women's basketball stretched their winning streak to 11 Friday with a 64-54 victory over Grand Rapids CC at home in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse.
Forward Taylor Long was high scorer for the Jets with 14 points, followed by forward Alexis Thompson with 12 points. Thompson shot 100 percent for the night from the floor with two 3-pointers, one layup and 2 free throws. Forward Madison Montgomery was hot on the boards with 11 rebounds and scoring 7 points.
The Jets' record is 11-1 overall and 3-0 in the MCCAA Conference. They are on the road Wednesday (Jan. 15) at Muskegon Community College.

The Jets were strong in their field goal percentage, shooting 54.9 percent against the Kalamazoo Valley Cougars in Michigan Community College Athletic Conference opener Saturday, Jan. 4. They Jets won 82-71. Guard Daelyn Merillat was the high scorer with 21 points and 9 assists. Alexis Thompson, Marissa Shaw and Taylor Long each had 9 rebounds. The Jets were strong on their free throws, hitting 17 of 23 for 73.9 percent.
The Jets are 1-0 in MCCAA-West, and 9-1 overall this season. They will travel to Indiana to face Ancilla College Wednesday, Jan. 8.
