Region XII Division II women's cross country championship goes to Grand Rapids CC, Meyering

The Grand Rapids Community College women's cross country team claimed their first NJCAA Region XII Division II Championship since 1991. The Raiders second championship in school history came on Saturday at Grand Woods Park in Lansing, MI. They finished ahead of St. Clair County Community College, who finished second, and Jackson College. Muskegon Community College and Mott Community College rounded out the top five. 

Audrey Meyering of Grand Rapids Community College won the individual championship, completing the five kilometer course in 20:21.8, 23 second ahead of Olivia Hubbard of Jackson College. Lily Connelly of St. Clair County Community College was third, Kiah Becker of Grand Rapids was fourth and Macy Whipple of Muskegon Community College rounded out the top five. The top 17 runners earned NJCAA Region XII Division II All-Region honors. The full list of award winners is at the link below. 

The NJCAA Division II National Championship will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Fort Dodge, IA.
