Viking men outlast Jackson on the road

JACKSON — Freshman point guard Will Jamison scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Glen Oaks Community College men's basketball team to an 82-70 victory on the road Wednesday night in the team's first action since Dec. 18.
The Fort Wayne, Ind. native knocked down a trio of 3-pointers, including a pair in the first half that helped the Vikings scratch out a 37-33 advantage at the intermission. Sophomore Darrius Roach posted 17 points, and freshmen Taurus Baugh and Akin Smith also reached double figures with 15 and 13, respectively.
Freshman Amauri Moore added nine points and classmate Nate Keil had seven for the Vikings, who improved to 7-7 overall this season. Complete game stats were not immediately available.
Glen Oaks returns home Saturday, January 11 for a 3 p.m. contest against Lansing to open up Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Conference play.
