The Iowa Lakes Women's Volleyball Team traveled to the Wisconsin to open their season at the Battle of the Dells Tournament.  They won their first match of the tournament with a sweep of DuPage (26-24, 25-20, 26-24) but fell in their second match to Carl Sandburg in four (25-23, 12-25, 23-25, 13-25).  The second day of competition the Lakers faced host school South Suburban College, after dropping the first set the Lakers rallied to win the next 3 (23-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-16) and carried that momentum with them into the last match of the tournament against St. Clair with a 3 set sweep ( 25-15, 25-16, 25-19).  Iowa Lakes will open up conference play this week when they travel to Kirkwood Community College Wednesday August 30^th for their 6:30 match.
