
Jets finish strong season; individual players honored
Congratulations to the Jackson College men's baseball team, who had a strong showing in the National Junior College Athletics Association Region XII Division II Tournament last week, and to several individual players who received accolades for the season.
The Jets defeated Delta College in the first round of the regional tournament, and then fell to Sinclair Community College and Grand Rapids Community College in the second round. They finished the season with a 28-22 record. This marked the eighth consecutive year the Jets team has made it to the regional tournament.
Individual Jets players receiving honors for the season are:

- Caleb Baragar - sophomore pitcher from Jenison High School, Jenison
- Tyler Reed - freshman outfielder from Columbia Central High School, Brooklyn

- Todd Phelps - sophomore outfielder from Western International High School, Detroit

- Austin Plasterer - sophomore second baseman from Homestead High School, Fort Wayne, IN
