Jets basketball wins at Pink Out Games

Jackson College women's basketball teams scored wins Wednesday night over Lake Michigan College in the Victor Cuiss Fieldhouse.

The Jets women defeated the Lake Michigan College Red Hawks in overtime, 76-69. With the win, the Jets went to 6-13 in the MCCAA Western Conference.

The Jets next game will also be against Ancilla College, with the women's game at 1 p.m. at Jackson College.

Wednesday's games were part of Jackson College's Pink Out event, a special night to help raise money for the Jackson YMCA's Turning Point Program. Turning Point is targeted to help breast cancer fighters and survivors once they have been diagnosed and throughout their lives to improve their emotional, physical and overall quality of life.

With gate revenue and donations, Jackson College donated $550 to the Turning Point program.
