Several Jets players receive basketball All-Conference recognition

As the men's and women's basketball seasons come to a close, several Jackson College Jets players received season honors recently from the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Conference.

For the men:

• Brandon Thomas, guard, hometown Ypsilanti, Third Team All-Conference
• Jagger Surface, guard/forward, hometown Fort Wayne, Ind., Third Team All-Conference
• Michael Bruce, guard/forward, hometown Ypsilanti, Honorable Mention All-Conference
• Devaughn Munson, guard/forward, hometown Ann Arbor, Honorable Mention All-Conference

The Jets men ended the season with an 11-7 conference record and an 18-12 overall record; they tied with Muskegon Community College for third place in the MCCAA West.

For the women:

• Chelsea Palmer, forward, hometown Brooklyn, Second Team All-Conference
• Sydney Brown, guard, hometown Port Huron, Honorable Mention All-Conference

The Jets women ended the season with a 6-10 conference record and an 8-17 overall record; they tied for fifth place in the MCCAA West.
