The Jets men's soccer team dropped a game Sunday to Lakeland Community College Lakers at Jackson's Mehall Field. The Lakers came on strong, scoring 3-0 in the first period. The Jets tried for a comeback in the second period, putting three goals on the board, but the Lakers also added three goals, making the final 6-3 Lakeland.
The Jets' Nooh Aljabaly scored unassisted at the 56-minute mark, and Sam Badjie scored a goal at the 64-minute mark, assisted by Jean Descollines. Jackson's Thomas Ross scored at the 84-minute mark, with an assist from Benjamin Vander Roes.
Andrew Coppler was the goalkeeper of record for the Jets.
Jets men's soccer is 3-5 in the MCCAA Conference, 3-9 overall. They will face Cuyahoga CC on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. at Mehall Field, Middle School at Parkside, Jackson.
The Jets will play in the Region XII NJCAA men's soccer tournament, which begins Oct. 25 at Schoolcraft College in Livonia.
