Brown Commits to Jackson College Women’s Basketball

Port Huron, MI – Port Huron High School senior, Sydney Brown, recently signed her National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to play basketball at Jackson College.

Brown, a 5'6" guard for the Indians, is a three time Macomb Area Conference player.  She has also earned several team awards including offensive and defensive player of the year.

When asked why she chose Jackson, Brown responded, "Jackson College has a small school setting but gives a university feel.  I also have a cousin on the baseball team and uncle who is the assistant athletic director."

Jackson College Women's Basketball Head Coach Heather Brown commented on Sydney's signing, "Sydney is a very tough competitor.  She will bring a spark to our offense and defense.  I will also look for Sydney to be a leader on the court."
