The Jackson College women's soccer team went 1-1 over the weekend playing in the women Supporting Women in Sports Tournament in New York.

The Jets lost to Monroe Community College 3-0 on Saturday but rebounded for a 6-1 win over Genesee Community College Sunday.

JC could only muster four shots in the loss to Monroe. Goalie Serenity Wieszciecinski finished with 16 saves for the Jets.

Jackson scored four times in the second half in a win at Genesee Community College. Franny Parks scored three goals and Samantha Youmans added two goals for Jackson.

Jillian Lester scored one goal for Jackson in the victory.

The Jets home opener is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7, against Terra State Community College beginning at 1 p.m.
