Hosmer was named the coach of the year for the Michigan Community College Athletic Association in 2011 and coach of the year for the NJCAA Division 1 Region XII for 2018.

The Jets Women's Soccer team excels in the classroom, consistently compiling a strong team g.p.a. and it is a major priority of Coach Hosmer.  On the field many players have received all Region, all MCCAA and All American honors and continued their careers beyond Jackson from the NAIA level to NCAA Division I.

Hosmer continues to coach high school girl’s varsity soccer locally at Brooklyn-Columbia Central High School, where he has posted a record of 220-89-22. The Golden Eagles won district titles in 2003, 2004, and 2011. They also won conference titles in 2009 and 2010. Coach Hosmer was named District Coach of the Year in 2003, 2004 and 2011 and the Jackson Citizen Patriot Coach of the Year in 2011.  Hosmer coached premier club soccer for the Jackson area during 2003, 2004, 2005 and in 2004 his team placed at the top of their division. Hosmer is happily married to his wife Rona and has three children, Anna, Kathrine, and Andrew.  Along with coaching, Hosmer holds the position of Building Maintenance Mechanic and Glazing Coordinator for Jackson College and resides just a few miles away in Clark Lake.
